Three Sunflowers by Vincent Van Gogh
Created December 31, 1887
This was the first sunflower paint Van Gogh made in a series of four initial sunflower paintings. It was hanging on Paul Gauguinm's wall when he stayed with Van Gogh in Arles in the movie. I found this drawing to be so bright with the bright yellow sunflowers, to the bright green vase and the bright turquoise background. I also loved the detail of the etches of the wood on the table. There is also a glare on the vase making it look like it is shining in the light.
