"The Tribute Money" was painted by Masaccio at Santo Maria Del Carmine in 1427, using oil paint on a stretched canvas. Masaccio, born Tommaso di Ser Giovanni di Simone, was the first great Italian painter of the Quattrocento period of the Italian Renaissance. I chose this painting because not only is it wonderfully done, it also portrays a story. As the other people argue you can see two others off to the side, which shows them striking a deal.
